HISTORY : Nimir Chemicals Pakistan
Limited was incorporated as an unquoted public limited
company on November 30, 1989 under the Companies Ordinance,
1984 by Ravi Group as Ravi Chemicals Limited.

The name of
the company was later changed to Hoechst
Ravi Chemicals Limited on August 7, 1994
as a result of a joint venture with Hoechst.
The name was further changed to Celanese
Pakistan Limited on November 18, 1997

In 1998 Hoechst
divested all its shareholding to Nimir due
to its global restructuring. Resultantly
the name of the company was changed to Nimir
Chemicals Pakistan Limited on August 2,
1999.
